Tibetan Kitchen: reasonable price, exotic delicacy in Taipei city./ 西藏廚房:價錢公道的台北市異國美食!

最近有時間就會開始上網找台北市特別的異國料理餐廳。想到在台灣總是離不開日本料理,韓國料理,港式料理,泰國料理跟越南料理或甚至是印度料理。當然也是有很多義式,法式甚至是西班牙的複合式餐廳。此外,似乎很少特別的異國料理餐廳。之前有試著!搜尋非洲料理,等我當天到達當地時,才發現已經停止營業了。因此我開始搜尋許多關鍵字,才發現台北其實原本有許多異國料理餐廳,但是也許台灣人的飲食習慣不想其他有著移民國家開放,因此,大部分的餐廳營業不久就歇業了。 有點可惜。

這兩天天氣冷,特別想吃重口味的食物,因此上網找到了一家很特別的餐廳 - 西藏廚房,特地來嚐嚐以前只在書本上看到但是沒真正吃到的西藏料理。 

話說這家餐廳的老闆是住在印度的藏人,因此菜單上的料理為西藏印度料理。不過我這次只嘗試藏族料理,所以印度菜我就留給印度餐廳啦!

Recently when I have time, I always try to find some exotic restaurants in Taipei City. However, it seems the exotic restaurants are always Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Thai, Vietnamese or Indian ones. Of course, there are also Italian, French or Spanish fusion type of restaurants, somehow, it's not that easy to find some special ones here. I even found out an African restaurant in Taipei, but I didn't know it was closed until I arrived there. Since then I started using keywords to search for uncommon exotic restaurants in Taipei, I realized there were several ones in Taipei, nevertheless, they are all closed permanently, it might be because that Taiwanese people's eating habits are not as open-minded as those countries with many different immigrants. What a pity to see this happening here, in my personal opinion.

The weather is cold these two days, and I feel like some cuisines with strong flavors and rich textures. I found a Tibetan restaurant on line: Tibet Kitchen. I came here to taste the flavor which I only learnt from the text book at school.

The owner of this restaurant in Tibetan who lived in India, thus, the dishes in the menu are either Tibetan or Indian ones. I only ordered the Tibetan ones, and let the Indian cuisine for those Indian restaurants next time.


Indian Milk tea. I didn't order the Tibetan one because I wanted something sweet (Tibetan milk tea is salty), and there's ginger in it, such a  pleasure in a cold evening./ 印度奶茶。沒有點西藏奶茶是因為當天很想要喝甜的(西藏奶茶是鹹的口味),在冷冷的天喝一杯有薑味的奶茶好享受喔!


Tibetan Deep Fried beed pie and vegetarian spring roll. The filling of the beef pie is very juice, even it's deep fried, but it's not oily at all. The spring rolls are crunch and tasty. Both of them are also served with the spicy source to add some richer flavors for the two appetizers./ 藏味炸牛肉餅與炸蔬菜春捲。炸肉餅不油膩,內線多汁不膩。炸春捲酥脆有味道。兩道菜都有附上其辣沾醬讓吃得同時更能增添味道的層次。

 
Tibetan Signature Beef Stew. The Beef stew tastes more like beef soup. The beef is very tender and served with mung bean noodles and potatoes. The beef stock is full of spices and the mung bean noodles absorbed all the flavors of the stock. For me, this beef stew reminds me of  the Taiwanese beef noodles stock, haha!/ 藏味招牌燉牛肉。說是燉牛肉,他喝起來更像牛肉湯,牛肉很軟嫩,湯裡有冬粉跟馬鈴薯。 牛肉湯很夠味,冬粉整個也是吸飽了湯汁。但是我怎麼在這牛肉湯裡感受了我們台灣的牛肉麵啊!哈哈!

 
Momo (Steamed beef dumplings): I only knew this typical Tibetan dish from the text book, now I finally have the chance to taste it. It takes just like the dumplings here, and the filling tastes like the beef pie's. The only different is the dumpling dough, it's a lot more chewy than the Taiwanese one. I like this texture a lot, and the chewy dough is a nice combination with the juicy filling. 饃饃:這道菜應該可算是在我課本裡面會介紹的西藏菜啊!終於有幸嚐到了!它嚐起來就是蒸餃嘛!內餡跟牛肉餅很雷同,但是他的餃子皮比一般蒸餃有嚼勁許多,我超愛這咬下去的感覺啊!而且哪QQ的皮跟多汁的餡真的好配喔!



Tibetan Steamed bread. It looks and tasted just exactly like the steamed bread that we eat in Taiwan, and it tasted as well (Haha). I wonder if the yellow color is from turmeric, and I also taste fennel seeds in it. As I didn't order any curry, I don't know how to finish it without any dip. As I always love chewy steamed bread, so it's not actually my favorite one./ 藏味饅頭。 他看起來跟吃起來就是台灣的饅頭啊(哈哈)!只是我在想他的黃色應該是薑黃來著的,裡面還有茴香籽。但是沒有叫咖哩,真難把它吃光!不是我的首選啦!哈哈
